OurTime is your time on the water. Our private charters are

tailor-made for various experiences, whether you are interested in a sunset or sunrise cruise, a day at anchor with some friends, a dinner cruise with that special someone, a leisurely cruise to explore the charming towns and delightful restaurants along Connecticut’s and Long Island’s shores, or even the thrill of witnessing the 4th of July fireworks from the water. The only concern you will have is deciding when to reserve your next charter day, as we take care of everything else. Please feel free to contact us with any questions. Our captains and first mates are Coast Guard certified, experienced, courteous, and friendly.

Frequesntly Asked Questions

  • What types of boats do you offer for charter?
    We provide pleasure boating experiences, offering two boats that are 33 and 38 feet in length.
  • How much does it cost to rent a boat and captain for a day?
    Pricing varies based on your preferred duration and destination. Please refer to our pricing page for detailed information.
  • Do I need any boating experience to rent a boat with a captain?
    No prior experience is required. Our team is here to handle all aspects of your charter.
  • How many people can the boats accommodate?
    Our 38-foot boat can comfortably accommodate up to 10-12 passengers. Our 33-foot boat can comfortably accommodate up to 6-8 passengers.
  • What amenities are available on the boats?
    Onboard amenities include a refrigerator, restroom, wash-up water, drinking water, and complimentary ice.
  • Can we customize our trip itinerary?
    Absolutely! We specialize in customizing cruises for special occasions and can arrange gourmet meals tailored to your preferences with advance notice.
  • Are food and beverages provided on board, or can we bring our own?
    You can either request food and beverages with 24 hours’ notice or opt to bring your own.
  • What happens in case of bad weather?
    If adverse weather conditions are forecasted or arise before departure, we will happily reschedule your trip at no additional cost.
  • Do you provide fishing equipment or other recreational gear?
    Yes, we offer recreational gear and can provide fishing rods upon request.
  • Is there a minimum age requirement for passengers?
    Passengers must be at least 10 years old, and we provide personal flotation devices for everyone onboard.
  • Are pets allowed on board?
    Unfortunately, we do not permit pets on board.
  • How far in advance do I need to book a charter?
    To ensure availability, we recommend booking at least one week in advance, especially during peak summer months.
  • Are gratuities included in the charter fee?
    Gratuities are not included but are greatly appreciated for our exceptional service.
  • What safety measures are in place on your boats?
    Our vessels undergo regular safety inspections and are equipped with up-to-date safety gear to prioritize your well-being
  • Do you offer any special packages or discounts for multiple bookings?
    Yes, we offer discounts for multiple bookings and can discuss personalized packages to suit your needs.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    We require 24 hours notice for cancellations to avoid forfeiture of your booking payment. If it is less then 24 hours before departure time there is a fee. Rescheduling or refunds are available with proper notification. If the charter gets canceled due to weather the trip will be refunded or rescheduled at no additional cost.
  • Are there any restrictions on where we can go during the charter?
    Certain tidal conditions may restrict destinations, and overnight trips are not permitted. Traveling to Block Island, New London, Montauk are not feasible.
  • Do you offer sunset or sunrise cruises?
    Yes, we offer sunset and sunrise cruises, along with customizable meal options for an additional charge.
  • Can we bring alcohol on board?
    Absolutely! Feel free to bring your own alcohol, and we’ll provide the ice. You are welcome to bring your own coolers.
  • How experienced are your captains, and are they certified?
    Our captains are highly experienced, USCG licensed, and certified in CPR/AED & First Aid emergencies by the Red Cross. First Aid Kits are available onboard.
  • Is fuel included?
    Fuel is included for trips under four hours. For longer excursions, fuel costs are additional and depend on the duration and destination of the trip
  • Docking fees for destinations are they included?
    Docking fees are not included.
